Jura Stores is for sale.  We have no intention of leaving the Island, we love living here.

The reason for selling the shop, is that Stephen needs a change.  18 years in the same job, is long enough.

The shop provides a good quality of life for us and would give owner operators an even better quality of life, we presently employ two members of staff.

The downside of trying to sell the shop is that Stephen would not have a job.  Boo Hoo, how upsetting!

Seriously, this is in itself a frightening thought but there are far worse things than living on Jura and not having a job.

Because we will still live on Jura, it means that there will be no accommodation available for sale with the shop but houses are due to be built here over the next year and properties are for rent here.

Pete (the feet) Torpey died sometime between  25th and 27th January 2008.  My friend, now at peace.
